Product Review: TARIES 24 PIECE BRUSH SET
A couple of
weeks back, I purchased Taries’ 24 piece brush set for a student of mine..
I have been using it in training
her- to enable her get acquainted with the brushes.
I therefore decided write a
review on it (based on my experience with the brushes)
The brushes
are synthetic and comes in an attractive orange colour.
Each brush
has the name of its function (what it does) printed on it- which I think is a
very helpful feature especially for
freshly trained Makeup Artists as this helps you know the purpose of each brush
without needing extra help.
The pouch like brush holder that comes with the brush set is a plus, as it saves you the extra cost
of purchasing a pouch for your brushes.
Being a 24
piece brush set (i.e variety of brushes), it has lots of brushes which you
might not find if you are purchasing a 12 piece brush set. For instance,
The flat eyeliner brush (very useful when
applying gel eye liner or pencil eye liner).
Two different lip brushes (one is
really great for lining the lips i.e without a lip pencil).
The
concealer brush: which worked well for me when used in applying an under eye
concealer. I loved the foundation brushes because I ended
up having a smooth finish while working with them.
The downside
I experienced was with the powder brush- it didn't give me the ‘fullness’ I am
used to (maybe it because it is a new brush and is still product free).
Facts about synthetic brushes. I did a little research and found that
synthetic brushes are:
Less likely to get damaged by makeup and the products we
use in cleaning them. They are
also easier to keep clean since they don’t absorb makeup pigment.
Better suited for people that are sensitive to animal hair or hair which
other types of brushes are made from.
It is a better option for you if you are a vegetarian.
Synthetic
brushes are better for creating a soft/ natural look with makeup.
From my experience, I would keep recommending this brush set to prospective Makeup Artists.
Have you tried this brush set? please share your experience in the comment section below or what you think about synthetic brushes. xx.
